1. カーボンコンサルティングとは？
Carbon consulting is the specialized technical and commercial advisory discipline that guides corporations, financial institutions, industrial operators, and landholders through measuring, reducing, disclosing, and pricing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
Unlike broad, narrative-driven ESG consulting, institutional carbon consulting sits at the intersection of environmental engineering, financial audit readiness, and environmental commodities. Every calculation, abatement lever, and retired credit must withstand external statutory assurance, tax authority review, and investor scrutiny.
About AION Climate’s Carbon Consulting Practice
AION Climate (aionclimate.com) is a Singapore-headquartered climate and carbon consultancy with eight operating desks across Asia Pacific under parent entity Tremendous Holding Ltd.
2. カーボンコンサルティングの5大中核領域
AION Climate structures corporate carbon consulting engagements across five integrated workstreams so internal emission reductions and external market instruments reinforce one coherent transition plan:
GHG Accounting & Baselines
Comprehensive Scope 1, Scope 2 (location- and market-based), and 15-category Scope 3 greenhouse gas inventories built to GHG Protocol, ISO 14064-1, and PCAF financed-emissions standards.
Net Zero & Abatement Engineering
Science-aligned target setting (SBTi), capital-costed Marginal Abatement Cost Curves (MACC), internal shadow carbon pricing, and multi-year capex prioritisation.
Scope 3 & Clean Energy Execution
Replacing spend-based estimates with primary factory and farm supplier data, agricultural soil-carbon insetting, I-REC procurement, and corporate Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs).
Mandatory Climate Disclosures
Auditor-ready climate disclosures and physical/transition scenario modeling aligned with IFRS S1 & S2 (ISSB), CSRD, TCFD, and listed-exchange rules (SGX, HKEX, IDX, ASX).
Pillar 5: Carbon Asset Origination, Due Diligence & Compliance Markets
For hard-to-abate residual emissions and statutory offset allowances, our carbon market specialists originate nature-based removals, audit project baselines and dMRV telemetry, and structure compliant portfolios across regional carbon exchanges, bilateral ERPAs, ICAO CORSIA, Australian ACCUs, and Paris Agreement Article 6 frameworks.
3. 企業向けカーボンコンサルティングの5段階プロセス
Whether advising a listed enterprise for the first time or upgrading spreadsheet inventories for limited/reasonable assurance, our engagements follow a structured five-phase methodology:
| Phase | Technical Workstream | Boardroom Deliverable |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Boundary & Data Architecture | Defining organisational consolidation boundaries (operational control vs. equity share) and mapping ERP, utility, fuel, and procurement data feeds. | GHG Inventory Management Plan (IMP). |
| 2. Baseline & Hotspot Audit | Quantifying Scope 1, 2, and material Scope 3 categories using verified emission factors and primary supplier data templates. | Audited Baseline Footprint & Evidence Binder. |
| 3. Liability & Policy Exposure | Stress-testing carbon tax exposure, Safeguard baselines, CBAM export tariffs, and mandatory exchange reporting deadlines. | Carbon Liability & Transition Risk Model. |
| 4. Abatement & Energy Engineering | Ranking operational efficiency, fleet electrification, solar/wind PPAs, and supplier insetting by net present value per tonne abated. | Costed MACC & Net Zero Transition Roadmap. |
| 5. Portfolio & Assurance Sign-Off | Structuring high-integrity carbon credit retirements for residual/compliance volumes and supporting third-party statutory assurance. | Published IFRS S2 Report & Registry Retirements. |
4. アジア太平洋および国際通商における規制・市場ドライバー
Organisations engaging carbon consultants in Singapore and across Asia Pacific typically respond to four converging regulatory mandates:
- Mandatory ISSB-Aligned Reporting: Phased mandatory climate-related financial disclosures aligned with IFRS S1 and S2 across Singapore (SGX / ACRA), Hong Kong (HKEX), Australia (ASRS), Malaysia, and Taiwan.
- Domestic Carbon Taxes & Compliance Schemes: Singapore’s progressive carbon tax (including up to 5% International Carbon Credit offset eligibility under Article 6), Australia’s Reformed Safeguard Mechanism, and Indonesia’s carbon economic value (NEK / SRN-PPI) regulations.
- International Aviation & Maritime Mandates: Airline monitoring, reporting, verification (MRV), and eligible unit procurement under ICAO CORSIA alongside Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) accounting.
- Cross-Border Supply Chain Gateways: European Union CBAM embedded-carbon reporting for industrial exporters and EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) geolocation traceability for Southeast Asian agricultural commodities.
5. 業界別専門プラクティス
Carbon profiles differ sharply between a commercial bank, an airline, and a food processor. AION Climate maintains dedicated industry leads across five core verticals:
- Finance & Insurance: PCAF Scope 3 Category 15 financed emissions across corporate loan books, project finance, and real estate portfolios.
- Food, Beverage & Agriculture: Smallholder farm primary data, FLAG targets, regenerative soil carbon insetting, and deforestation-free traceability.
- Energy & Utilities: Grid transition modeling, coal-to-clean transition frameworks, I-REC issuance, and cross-border clean power PPAs.
- Retail, Apparel & Manufacturing: Tier-1 and tier-2 factory energy transitions, product lifecycle assessments (LCAs), and freight decarbonisation.
- Aviation & Logistics: CORSIA Eligible Emissions Units (CEEUs), SAF book-and-claim accounting, and cold-chain fleet transitions.
6. 監査対応力のあるカーボンコンサルティング会社の選定基準
- Audit-Ready Evidence Trails: Spreadsheets built on unverified spend averages fail external assurance. Insist on transparent calculation workbooks linked directly to utility meters, fuel invoices, and supplier telemetry.
- Abatement-First Governance: Credible consultants follow the mitigation hierarchy, prioritising operational Scope 1-3 reductions and clean electricity before recommending carbon credit retirements.
- Direct Field & Registry Fluency: When carbon credits are required, work with specialists who inspect land tenure, FPIC safeguards, additionality, and sovereign Article 6 rules directly at project level rather than reselling unvetted broker inventory.
